Great news at La Caneva as our cellar expands with seven exceptional new Italian labels selected thanks to Carretta Vini, all ready to be uncorked and paired with our authentic dishes. For lovers of intense Northeastern reds, we have added Le Due Terre's Sacrisassi Rosso, a mineral and artisanal Friulian blend perfect with our Argentinian Entrecôte, Weingut Niklas' deep and velvety Bos Taurus Lagrein Riserva, and Cecchetto Winery's bold Raboso del Piave, which pairs beautifully with traditional Venetian recipes, red meats, and mature cheeses. Joining the collection are also the light and fruity Schiava FUXS, another classic from Weingut Niklas ideal for charcuterie and light pasta courses, and Vigna Traverso's elegant, spicy Schioppettino di Prepotto, featuring a fantastic note of black pepper. For over twenty years a landmark for lovers of traditional Italian cuisine just a stone's throw from the Grand-Place in Brussels, La Caneva restaurant opens a new chapter under the leadership of Lorenzo Calò. Originally from Treviso and a long-standing pillar of the restaurant, Lorenzo takes over the reins to passionately carry on the culinary excellence and warm atmosphere that have always defined the venue. Featuring a menu strictly based on fresh ingredients and curated wine pairings, the restaurant now offers a complete experience: the perfect location to celebrate private events and special moments in an intimate and refined setting, as well as exclusive services such as a home chef or takeaway wines, with a fine selection of Italian and Venetian labels tailored for true connoisseurs.
